The Southeastern Michigan Section of the IEEE Society has slated a session for Monday, March 16, 2009 at 3:30 pm. This event is part of the Section’s “Chapter IV” Speaker Series and will feature John L. Volakis, a professor in Ohio State University’s School of Electrical and Computer Engineering. Prof. Volakis will discuss “Antennas and RF Sensors: Changing the Way We Live.” His presentation will provide an overview of the upcoming wireless applications and challenges and the possible use of novel materials for RF miniaturization including the development of antennas of optimal size.
