Advanced Compliance Solutions, Inc. has acquired the Florida Atlantic University (FAU) EMI lab in the Research Park adjacent to the university in Boca Raton and is assuming operations of the lab immediately. The acquisition expands both ACS’s market reach and the south Florida lab capabilities available to electronic manufacturers. ACS provides EMC, product safety, wireless certification, and environmental testing services, as well as regulatory approval services. Atlanta, GA-based ACS focuses on regulatory compliance testing of commercial electronic products such as telecommunications and cable industry hardware, consumer electronics, and wireless devices. It provides testing and approvals such as FCC, UL, and the CE Mark necessary for the legal sale of products. Previously an EMC testing lab operated for school research and as an educational tool of the university, the now privatized facility will offer services similar to those of ACS Atlanta.
