Test Firm Acquires Swedish Lab

Well known global test firm, Intertek has announced that it has acquired from Sargentia the assets of Jäfälla, Sweden-based Sargentia Catella AB. Already known for its EMC and product safety testing, Intertek will expand its offerings and capabilities with the addition of Sargentia Catella. The Swedish organization brings to Intertek 50 years of experience in the energy storage industry. Originally established as part of the National Defense Research Institute of Sweden, the business later became known as Sargentia Catella as part of the British technology consulting group Sargentia. The new acquisition will be integrated into the Intertek Commercial & Electrical Division and will be managed by Intertek’s Swedish Operations located in Krista, Sweden.View the original announcement online.
