AR, makers of RF/Microwave instrumentation, installed one of their Radiated Immunity Test Systems (model AS04210M2) at Kdde Safety is Colorado. The purpose of the unit is to “test Kdde’s fire and safety products.”
The model is designed to “produce fields up to 10V/m with 80% AM (18V/m CW) at a 3m test distance from 80 MHz-4.2GHz for radiated immunity testing” in an EMC chamber. The system also “is supplied without the signal generator and field monitoring equipment” and includes “larger than required amplifiers to add margin to the test capability.”
