New Material for Low-Frequency Magnetic Shielding

MuFerro™ 6800 from Holland Shielding Systems B.V. is a new material for shielding the low frequency magnetic fields found in transformer rooms, power plants, and bus-bar systems. Although most magnetic fields are typically in the 50- to 60-Hz range, MuFerro provides magnetic shielding in the frequency ranges from 10 Hz to 100 kHz. This material can provide a field-strength reduction of up to 95 percent or greater.
