EMI filters in ultra-compact LLP leadless packages are available from Vishay Intertechnology. These arrays are the 4-channel VEMI45AA-HNH, the 6-channel VEMI65AA-HCI, and the 8-channel VEMI85AA-HGK. With a low profile of 0.6 mm and a pin-to-pin pitch of 0.4 mm, these VEMI filter arrays have been crafted to conserve board space and to provide EMI/ESD protection in portable electronics.
Delivering high quality filtering, the devices are capable of attenuating unwanted signals by more than 30 dB over the 900-MHz to 2.3-GHz frequency range, with a resistance of 100 ohms and an input capacitance of 60 pF. Low leakage current helps to extend battery life. All three devices provide transient protection for data lines as per IEC 61000-4-2 (ESD) at 30 kV (air and contact discharge) and IEC 6100-4-5 (lightening) from 4 A (tp =8/20 µs). They are also compliant with the RoHS and WEEE Directives.
