The French cosmetics firm Clarins has incurred the wrath of yet another consumer group. According to the Nevada based National Toxic Encephalopathy Foundation (NTEF), Expertise 3P Poly Pollution Protection (3P) products are touted as “the most advanced protection against every type of pollution known today…for the first time in cosmetology, it also protects against the effects of artificial electromagnetic waves…an invisible shield of reinforced protection against all types of pollution we encounter today…biological protection against urban atmospheric pollution.” The NTEF has requested that the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) look into the consistent and concerted effort by Clarins to defy government requirements in selling their products to the American people. See the NTEF website, and the claims for 3P Poly Pollution Protection on the Clarins’website. Is this what the very real science of electromagnetic shielding has come to? Is the general public woefully in need of some solid information on electromagnetics? Post your reactions at the Shielding Community Forums.
