The new FN 3280 from Schaffner has been expanded for use in higher power applications with new sizes including 300 A, 400 A, and 600 A. The new high-performance EMI filters are well suited to use in large industrial machines and plants with numerous motor drives, long motor cables, and high interference levels—as well as inverter and converter applications such as UPS (uninterruptible power supply). The FN 3280 comes in a compact cubed shape with solid copper bus bars for easy installation on a wall or floor. These filters have been crafted for 50- and 60-Hz networks in four-wire configurations (3-phase + neural) up to 480 V (+10 percent) and are available for nominal currents from 8 to 600 A. The filters are UL, CSA, and ENEC approved and RoHS compliant. Find more product details on the Schaffner website. Looking for the optimum filter choice for a particular design?
