The DFCL filter series from Murata Electronics North America are block type filters measuring 10.6 mm x 6.0 mm x 4.8 mm. They offer excellent selectivity and ripple performance, features critical in wireless code division multiple access (WCDMA) Band 1 digital pre-distortion (DPD) and long term evolution (LTE) DPD amplifiers. A multi-pole design ensures that wanted signals are properly passed while others are rejected. The DFCL series offers ripples of 0.4 dB maximum at f0±30 MHz and 1.2 dB maximum at f0±65 MHz and thus produces the wide flat curves required at the pass band by DPD amplifier designs. These new filters can also be implemented in lower power and smaller base stations known as microcells and femtocells, where they provide loss insertion loss and high attenuation.Look for the original announcement on the Murata website.
