The DVMN28 from VPT, Inc. is a combination EMI filter and transient suppression module that meets the military COTS (commercial off-the-shelf initiative. Product features include 0- to 50-V input with 600-V transient, 60 dB of attenuation (minimum) at 500 kHz, a soft start feature to ensure smooth startups, under-voltage lock-out circuitry for safe operation, and 99 percent efficiency. In the event of a prolonged input overvoltage, down stream converters are shut off by an output inhibit feature. Maximum output current is 10 A. This device complies with MIL-STD-704, A, B, C, and D surge limits, as well as MIL-STD-461C CE03, MIL-STD-461D CE 102, and DEF STAN 59-41 and 61-5 EMC requirements. It also protects against conducted susceptibility as specified in MIL-STD461 C, CS01 and CS02 and against voltage spikes as specified in MIL-STD-461C CS06.
