The new ZCAT08V-BK and ZCAT12V-BK from TDK Corporation are being introduced as the industry’s first automotive clamp filters suitable for use as a countermeasure for the effects of electronic noise on the cables that link a vehicle’s various onboard ECUs.
These filters are characterized by a unique structure consisting of a vertically split cylindrical ferrite core with an integrated resin case for mounting on cables. The resin case and core material specifies an operating temperature range from -40 degrees C to +125 degrees C. Measuring 33 mm in length and 18 mm in exterior diameter, the ZCAT08V-BK specifies an impedance of 120 ohms at 100 MHz. The ZCAT12V-BK is 33 mm long and 27 mm in diameter and specifies an impedance of 140 ohms at 100 MHz.
