Fluke Networks, a developer of network troubleshooting solutions, has released the SmartEdge Sensor, a sensor intended to help EMC engineers identify security, performance and capacity problems by monitoring all Wi-Fi and radio frequency (RF) activity in a given area and relaying the collected data back to a management application for analysis.
The SmartEdge Sensor is available as an internal antenna model or an external antenna model and comes equipped with three Wi-Fi radios for Wi-Fi monitoring and data collection, radio frequency interference detection and wireless backhaul. The sensor is 802.11n-compatible and does not require Ethernet wiring.
