The new CHPA0618-1 from CAP Wireless is an ultra-broadband power amplifier for military platforms within the defense and homeland security industries. The unit incorporates gallium arsenide (GaAs) monolithic microwave integrated circuit (MMIC) technology into CAP’s patented Spatium™ broadband spatially combining architecture to achieve significant solid state power levels across the amplifier’s extended 6- to 18-GHz frequency range. The CHPA0618-8 is well suited to wideband applications such as electronic countermeasures (ECM), electromagnetic interference/electromagnetic compatibility (EMI/EMC) testing, as well as narrower band applications such as radar, microwave imaging, and satellite communications. There’s more product information on the CAP Wireless website. Have a question on amplifiers or other test equipment? Just it to one of Interference Technology’s Forums. Check out the Amplifier Forum.
