Great Britain’s Ministry of Defense has issued a draft document on the management and production of defense standards. MOD DEF STAN 00-00 a draft document entitled “Standards for Defense Management and Production of Defense Standards.” Comments on this draft must be received before May 30, 2008. The 38-page document details such standards management issues as policy, adoption and application, legislation, the development process, protective markings, publication approval, review, revision, amendments, obsolescence, and cancellation. The formatting details compliance and style, normative references, foreword, scope, lists, and the style and numbering of clauses and sub-clauses.
