Swiss Company Buys Hong Kong-Based EMC Lab

The Swiss company SGS SA recently acquired International Electrical Certification Centre Ltd (IECC), a Hong Kong-based Electromagnetic Compatibility and Product Safety testing laboratory. Accreditations held by IECC include the Hong Kong Laboratory Accreditation Scheme (HOKLAS), FCC (USA), IC (Canada) C-Tick (Australia/New Zealand), CSA (Canada/USA). Privately owned, IECC employs 22 staff members and generated revenue of HKD 10 million in 2010.
