The VSS4 spread-spectrum oscillator from Vectron International meets FCC restrictions on permissible levels of EMI for a range of communications systems and consumer electronics applications. The VSS4 offers a frequency range of 12 MHz to 168 MHz and operates in the 140- to 85-degree C temperature range. The oscillator operates off 3.3 volts and comes with an enable/disable feature to allow the clock output to be disabled for board testing. Other product features include CMOS output, output frequencies to 168 MHz, tri-state output for board testing and debug, gold-over-nickel contact pads, RoH compliance, and compatibility with lead-free assembly. The VSS4 is housed in a 5- x 3.2-mm ceramic package that provides significant hermetic sealing for optimum EMI shielding. Look for additional product information on the Vectron Internationalwebsite.
