The Federal Communications Commission (FCC) has issued an official citation to ProLingo, a marketer of simultaneous language translation systems and services. Specifically, ProLingo was found in violation of Section 15.237 of the Rules by marketing the Listentech LT700 transmitter that operates on frequencies in the 72- to 76-MHZ band that is restricted to use by auditory assistance devices. The citation goes on to state that the Listentech LT700 was erroneously identified as an auditory assistance device when it received FCC certification prior to being marketed in the U.S. ProLingo has been informed that continued violation of FCC rules may result in the imposition of a monetary forfeiture.The citation can be viewed on the FCC website.
