The new CDN 3038-S100M from Teseq, Inc. is a portable coupling/decoupling network that allows for easy mobility between test sites. Crafted to test to the latest IEC 61000-4-5 and ANSI C62.4 specifications, this device will provide high current and voltage surge testing in a number of applications including power converters, fuel cells, and fixed installations. The device injects standard 1.2/50 microsecond combination waves of up to 8 kV open-circuit and up to 4 kA, 8/20 microsecond surge short circuit into the main power supply of the EUT. It provides generous overload capacity on each 100-A phase during short periods, ensuring that frequent inrushes of current are handled effectively. Boosting versatility, two decoupling networks in parallel with added decoupling units enable 200 A per phase in single-phase applications. Special choke technology incorporated into the unit enables the CDN 3038-S100M to meet all three IEC filter inductance classes, thus avoiding the costly need for using several couplers to test the full range of specified inductance.Find additional product information in the original announcement.
