Parker Hannifin Corporation, the parent company of EMI shielding company Chomerics, has announced that as of April 30, 2008, it had acquired the remaining stake in a joint venture Parker Seal de Mexico. Parker had held a 49-percent interest in the $8.3-million company before buying the remaining assets from various partners. The terms of the acquisition were not disclosed. The acquired operation will become part of Parker’s Seal Group, and its results will be reported within Parker’s Industrial North American business segment. Parker manufactures seals for various processes in a broad range of materials for use in liquid, gas, automotive, food processing, medical, and electromagnetic shielding applications.
