UK-based Oxley Development Company Ltd. has partnered with Turbo Power Systems (TPS) to provide an EMC compliant filter system for a new commercial aircraft. In designing a rack-mounted liquid-cooled controller for the aircraft’s jettison fuel pump, TPS needed a high performance filter connector that would not only remove EMI from system and power lines but would also meet the requirements of an extremely high dielectric withstand voltage requirement of 2000 volts AC. Because of difficulty with previous filter selections that had failed EMC compliance testing, TPS turned to Oxley, which created a custom designed high performance ceramic planar capacitor array and custom designed compliant interconnects that passed aircraft acceptance testing.
