Freescale Semiconductor recently announced its next generation of system basis chips that the company says addresses a number of issues including electromagnetic compatibility robustness requirements for in-vehicle networks. The SBC devices integrate an energy management module to power microcontrollers, transceiver interfaces to connect with in-vehicle networks and low-power modes to conserve battery life.
