The new Model 500A250A from AR RF Microwave Instrumentation is the first in a planned series of new “A” RF amplifiers. This first model covers 10 kHz to 250 MHZ and provides a minimum of 500 watts swept power when used with an RF sweep generator. A compact, innovative design has created a smaller size and reduced weight as compared to existing products. In fact, Model 500A250A replaces three earlier models: the 250A250A, 500A100A, and 500A250. This new amplifier features a 3.75-inch diagonal display, menu-assigned soft keys, a single rotary knob, and four dedicated switches for extensive control and status reporting. The 500-watt unit weighs just 101 pounds (45.8 kg) and measures 19.8 x 13.4 x 22 inches. The device also has an improved noise figure for increased dynamic range and provides readily available RF power for typical applications such as RF susceptibility testing, as well as antenna and component testing. For more product details, visit the AR RF website.
