The new Model 500A250A from AR RF Microwave Instrumentation is the first in a planned series of new “A” RF amplifiers. This first model covers 10 kHz to 250 MHZ and provides a minimum of 500 watts swept power when used with an RF sweep generator. A compact, innovative design has created a smaller size and reduced weight as compared to existing products. In fact, Model 500A250A replaces three earlier models: the 250A250A, 500A100A, and 500A250. This new amplifier features a 3.75-inch diagonal display, menu-assigned soft keys, a single rotary knob, and four dedicated switches for extensive control and status reporting. The 500-watt unit weighs just 101 pounds (45.8 kg) and measures 19.8 x 13.4 x 22 inches.
