Heilind Electronics is now offering TE Connectivity’s Quadrax contacts and connectors – a multi-signal contact system consisting of two differential pairs used with quadraxial Ethernet and Fibre Channel cables.
TE’s Quadrax contacts feature one-piece dielectric inserts for easy assembly and are available with silicone seal boots that are rated for 50,000 foot altitude immersion. The contacts attach directly to PCB, and an asymmetrical standoff leg provides built-in keying to the PC board.
The TE Quadrax connector is a high performance rectangular connector in 2, 4 and 12 positions; cylindrical connectors are available in 6 shell sizes. Aluminum shells are keyed and polarized, and are available with plastic backshell strain reliefs. The rectangular connectors also feature a center jackscrew design while the cylindrical connectors are in MIL-DTL-38999 Series III style configurations for fast mating.
