The new FN 2450 from Schaffner AG is a compact single-phase EMC/EMI filter. The utilization of plastic materials and the elimination of potting compound results in a significant weight reduction as compared to conventional designs. The EMC-compatible HF contact to ground is ensured by a metal base plate. Integrated terminals in the housing enable contact from the top with an automatic torque wrench. These new filters are designed for rated currents from 6 to 20 A (at 55 degrees C) and for single-phase networks of ≤250 VAC. All versions are characterized by minimal filter leakage current and are well suited for use with sensitive residual current protective devices. Built-in safety covers protect against unintended contact with live clamping elements. They meet strict requirements for operator and fire protection and are UL, CSA, and ENEC approved as well as being RoHS compliant.Look for more product information at the Schaffner website.
