Intertek, an international testing company already well known for its EMC and safety testing capabilities, has entered an agreement with BRE Global, a European certification/approvals body, to provide the manufacturers of life/safety and security products with ETL or LPCB certification. Such testing would cover products destined for North America (ETL) or Europe, the Middle East, Africa, or Asia (LPCB). Now, one call to either party can lead to ETL and LPCB certification. The ETL Listed Mark is proof of compliance to applicable UL, CSA, and ANSI standards. The LPCB (Loss Prevention Certification Board) Mark signifies compliance with applicable fire and security standards and is widely accepted throughout the growing economies of the Middle East, Africa, and Asia. See the official announcement from Intertek. Share your testing questions and experiences at the Testing Community Forums.
