(June 17, 2016) Three mobile training apps created for Navy basic training have recently become available to the public.
The apps are U.S. Military Rank & Reference, U.S. Navy Ratings & Reference, and Ships & Aircraft Training, and are free through Google Play and iTunes for Android and Apple mobile devices. They are part of the eSailor Initiative and presently used by recruits at the Recruit Training Command, according to Navy.mil.
Rear Adm. Stephen C. Evans, commander, Naval Service Training Command (NSTC), said, “This will be an excellent opportunity for fleet sailors to brush up on their Navy knowledge as well as for the public to learn about America’s Navy.”
