New Flex Lead EMI filters from Pacific Aerospace and Electronic (PA&E) offer new options when choosing an EMI filter. These new filters are said to offer several advantages over conventional filtering approaches. Reliability is boosted by the elimination of a solder joint, and the lead insulation encapsulated within the filter body reduces the potential for accidental shorting. These filters have an operating temperature range of -55 to +125 degrees C and are rated for 50 to 500 VDC. Insulation resistance is GΩ (minimum) at 25 degrees C, and capacitance range is 1000 pF to 20 nF. The case is constructed of cold-rolled steel finished with a gold-over-nickel under-plate. Copper is the standard lead material. These filters meet the requirements of MIL-F-15733 and MIL-F-28861. Find more product information on the PA&E website.Filters are crucial to achieving EMC.
