In a further enforcement action, the Federal Communications Commission issued another “Notice of Apparent Liability for Forfeiture” to Corr Wireless Communications for operating two microwave stations WMV851 and WPJK282 on unauthorized frequencies. Following a complaint, it was learned that these two stations had been operating on frequencies 2118.5 MHz and on 2168.45 MHz, respectively. Corr faces a monetary forfeiture of $6,400. Corr’s management asserts that the departure from the licensed frequencies was caused by a technician who had installed old modules in the broadcast facilities and that upon learning of the problem, immediate steps were taken to return these stations to their licensed frequencies—viz. 2115.20 MHz and 2165.20 MHz. Find the actual notice on the FCC website.
