The new DYNASHEAR™ family of fabric-over-foam gaskets from Schlegel Electronic Materials (SEM) has been crafted especially for card/cage applications. A unique D-design helps assure maximum shielding even at low compression. Ultra-soft, open-cell polyurethane foam is utilized to achieve an impressive ratio of comprehension vs. load. The DYNASHEAR design takes into account the mechanical constraints associated with the blades/shelves environment. It is particularly well suited to card/cage applications in which cumulative tolerances decrease the gap between modules and thus increase compression on the gasket. Additional product information can be found on the SEM website. Choosing the right shielding is a vital step in product design. Questions on shielding options can be posted to the Interference Technology Shielding Forum.
