The VPTi10-28 from VPT, Inc. is a new EMI filter and voltage transient suppression module that provides two modules in one mini-package to reduce the reflected noise of DC-DC converters and to protect the power system from inrush current damage. The VPTi10-28 is well suited to harsh, demanding applications such as military or avionics. The device serves as the filtered input module to multiple VPT series converters, thus offering further size and weight advantages for the power system. It provides compliance to MIL-STD-704 and MIL-STD-1275 input power requirements. Power systems employing the VPTi10-28 will satisfy both MIL-STD-461 C through E conducted emissions requirements and radiated emissions requirements. Reliability is enhanced by a rugged, six-sided all metal package that performs through such harsh environments as vibration, shock, and temperature cycling.See the original announcement on the VPT website.
