Computer Simulation AG, a Darmstadt, Germany, maker of software for the simulation of EM fields in all frequency bands, has announced the winners of its 2008 CST Publication Awards. Prerequisites for participation in this competition are that papers must be authored or co-authored by academic researchers, must be published in either scientific journals or conference proceedings, and must have derived the numerical results in the paper, either entirely or in part, by using CST software products. Submissions were evaluated on a number of criteria including originality of the application or theory, the clarity of presentation, and the skillful use of CST software features. For the first time in the five years that this competition has been held, an additional special award for short papers was introduced to acknowledge the importance of short conference papers in promoting the practical application of simulation.
