U.S. technology firm Orbit/RF Inc. and French technology firm SATIMO have entered into an agreement that will allow the firms to merge their technological efforts to serve a growing number of international customers. Both Orbit/RF and SATIMO provide antenna and electromagnetic measurement technology. SATIMO plans to use a “cross-fertilization” of SATIMO and Orbit/RF technologies to create a wider market offering in electromagnetic test and measurement. A key synergy of the proposed alliance is the combination of SATIMO’s high speed electronic probe array technology with Orbit/RF’s precision electromechanical systems. Specifically, French firm SATIMO will purchase a majority stake in Orbit/RF from its parent company Orbit Altchut Technologies Ltd. of Israel. The proposed deal is subject to customary closing conditions, including regulatory approval.
