Linear Technology introduces the LTM4625, a 20VIN step-down µModule regulator. The regulator can operate in temperatures ranging from -40 to 125 degrees Celsius and the entire solution fits within 0.5cm².
“Like other µModule regulators, the LTM4625 includes the DC/DC controller, power switches, inductor and compensation components in a single package. Only two external ceramic capacitors (1206 case size) and a resistor (0603 case size) are required for operation,” according to the company.
Other features of the LTM4625 include: a switching frequency from 800kHz to 4MHz, a 4V to 20V input supply range, and adjustable output between 0.6V to 5.5V with ±1.5% accuracy. This regulator also includes output overvoltage, overcurrent and over temperature fault protection.
