Würth Elektronik eiSos’ continuing growth has lead to an addition of a new warehouse and logistics complex in Waldenburg, Germany.
The expansion will include a fully automated small parts warehouse, which will include six aisles with 85,000 racking slots on 32 levels, and a new three-story function building for incoming and outcoming goods, which will include ten loading ramps. 25 million euro was allotted for this expansion and the construction is scheduled to conclude by the middle of next year.
Würth Elektronik eiSos is also expanding its service offering with the building work, “which means instead of 10,000 at present, there will be capacity to deliver over 30,000 products from stock in the future. Subpackaging units and samples will then be sent on their way in a largely automated process,” according to the company.
