Aeroflex Incorporated and fjord-e-design GmbH have implemented a TETRA II test system on a portable radio tester, the Aeroflex 3920 Digital Radio Test Set. The test solution allows transmitter and receiver testing of base stations and mobile stations supporting the TETRA Enhanced Data Service (TEDS). In the implementation, Aeroflex and fjord e-design demonstrated TEDS Frequency Division Multiplexing (FDM) signals with 64QAM modulation and 8 sub-channels in a channel bandwidth of 50 kHz being generated and analyzed, including the generation and analysis of the defined T4 test signal per the European Telecommunications Standards Institute (ETSI) TEDS standard.Learn more from Aeroflex.
