This week at the IEEE International Microwave Symposium (IMS), ART-Fi will showcase the “SARborg,” an automatic SAR measurement robot. The SARborg saves time, improves accuracy and repeatability, and is precise with its measurements.
“We call it the SARborg, because it’s a robot that runs through batteries of SAR tests completely hands-free. We have essentially roboticized the entire SAR testing component of launching a mobile phone to the market. A huge win for test labs and manufacturers,” Benoit Derat, CEO of ART-Fi, said.
A SAR measurement with ART-Fi’s ART-MAN takes about five seconds; the new SARborg can run about 200 consecutive tests, hands-free in just over an hour, according to ART-Fi.
“In the test and measurement industry, accuracy and repeatability are crucial to any breakthrough. Robots do not get tired or make mistakes, and they position the phone precisely each time, which reduces deviation and increases both accuracy and repeatability,” Stephane Pannetrat, co-founder of ART-Fi, said.
Stop by Booth 1817 at IMS 2015 this week for a demo of the ART-MAN and to see the new SARborg.
