Schurter, manufacturer and distributor of fuses, connectors, circuit breakers, input systems and EMC products, released the V-Lock system, a power cord that locks in place. The V-Lock is guaranteed to not pull out of a piece of equipment. To ensure this, the “power socket is equipped with a pin that interlocks with a special notch in the plug on the power cord” and the force required to remove it is at least 200 N. To release the cord, a finger is pressed on the lever. The system can be “integrated into power couplings in compliance with IEC 60320 for 10 A and 16 A rated current.”
