AR RF/Microwave Instrumentation has unveiled the first model in its new “A” Series RF amplifier line. Model 500A250A covers 10kHz-250 kHz, and provides a minimum of 500 watts of swept power when used with an RF sweep generator. Model 500A250A, which replaces models 250A250A, 500A100A and 500A250, boasts roughly a 35 percent reduction in size and weight compared to existing products. The 500-watt unit weights 101 pounds and measures 19.8 by 13.4 by 22 inches. The 500A250A also has an improved noise figure for increased dynamic range. The new design features a 3.75 inch diagonal graphic display, menu-assigned softkeys, a single rotary knob, and four dedicated switches for extensive control and status reporting capability. All amplifier control functions and status indications are available remotely in GPIB/IEEE-488, RS-232 and USB format.Model 500A250A provides readily available RF power for typical applications such as RF susceptibility testing, antenna and component testing, watt meter calibration, particle accelerators, plasma generation, communications and for use as a driver for higher power amplifiers.LEARN MORE
