The new ESD11N and ESD11B are two new offerings based on ON Semiconductor’s proprietary ESD protection technology. The two chips’ reduced size and bidirectional single-line design provides design flexibility and ease of routing in a variety of space constrained applications. The ESDN11 is a 6-pF device that maintains less than 0.5-dB insertion loss up to 3 GHz, and its capacitance linearity over voltage and frequency affords protection for high frequency antenna lines with minimal effects. The ESD11B is a 15-pF device that provides low clamping ESD protection in new 0201 packaging to safeguard general purpose and low speed data lines characterized by tight board designs. Both these products clamp an ESD waveform of 8 kV per the IEC 61000-4-2 contact standard to less than 10 V in a matter of nanoseconds.Detailed product information can be found on the ON Semiconductor website.
