Adding to its line of standard MIL-DTL-55116 capacitive filtered audio connectors, Spectrum Control is offering an updated device that includes ESD protection up to 8 kV direct discharge and 15 kV air discharge. These EMI-filtered/ESD-protected connectors are well suited to aviation, communication, and security applications in which an electronic system using the audio connector might be exposed to ESD environments. These audio connectors have a capacitance range of 10 pF to 1 µF and are available in C and Pi circuit configurations. The connectors are waterproof and polarized, are offered in plugs and receptacles, and can be crafted for special/selectivity loaded EMI filtering. They meet all the requirements of MIL-STD-810F including sand and dust, salt fog, high altitude operation, fungus resistance, and immersion to 20 meters.Look for additional information on the Spectrum Control website.
