Four recently introduced software packages from SimLab GmbH aid the task of design engineers by providing insight during the development process. EMBoardCheck facilitates PCB development with rules that have been developed, verified, and tested by IBM engineers. Interfaces to all major PCB layout tools are included within EMBoardCheck. PCBCableSim is an adjunct to SimLab’s PCB simulation package PCBMod. Using this new product with PCBMod results in the efficient co-simulation of PCBs together with all kinds of cable. SLCableSpice is a stand-alone tool for the users of external Spice simulators—such as PSpice, Saber, or HSpice. It easily sets up cable configurations (including multi-twisted wire over ground plane) and quickly creates SPICE equivalent sub-circuits in various formats. EMHarness provides rule-checking based analysis of complex cable harnesses. Besides pre-defined rules, it also allows the user to create unique rules based on proprietary specifications.Go to the SimLab website for more product information.
