View more product information online.System Allows Vector Signal Measurement to 50 GHz Center FrequencyA test system from Agilent Technologies can now handle 300-MHz wide bandwidth vector signal measurements to 50 GHz for aerospace, defense, or other demanding applications. The test system combines the Agilent PSA Series spectrum analyzer and the Agilent Infiniium oscilloscope along with the company’s 89601A vector signal analysis (VSA) software. The E4440A series PSA used as the down converters, producing input signals that range from 3.80 GHz to 50 GHz center frequency to an IF output frequency of 321.4 MHz. The IF signal is then applied to an Infiniium scope for digitization. The digitized data is then analyzed by the 89601A VSA that can reside on a separate PC or within the oscilloscope. Communication between the instruments and the 89601A software is accomplished using a LAN and a hub or switch. If the time bases must be tied together, the signal generator time base can be used as master. At FM, TV, and mobile phone frequencies, accuracy is better than 3 dB. This device has a built-in antenna and detection system that yields a flat response over a very wide range of frequencies.
