The SAS Series from Antenna Research Associates (ARA) include extremely broadband portable receiving antennas crafted specifically for accurate measurement of electrical field intensity. They are well suited to wideband emissions testing and spectrum surveillance applications. Integral active networks provide performance over the entire frequency range of operation. Although these antennas are normally calibrated with the housing resting on a large ground plane, they can be used without the ground plane with a change of antenna factor of less than 2 dB. A gradual roll-off in the response below 10 kHz prevents overload caused by strong 60-Hz harmonics in areas where man-made noise is a problem. Schottky diodes provide the low-band preamplifier additional protection. The monopole elements of the antennas are designed for compact storage. The SAS-230/22, the latest addition to the series, extends the frequency range of operation to 3 GHz.Look for additional product information on the ARA website.
