Manufacturers who plan to market their products in the U.S. are required to meet the requirements of the Federal Communications Commission, per Title 47 of the Code of Federal Regulations (CFR).
Most products that emit RF energy above 9 kHz, must be tested for compliance to emissions via Verification, Declaration of Conformity, or Certification.
