Coilcraft introduces its new family of magnetically shielded power inductors – the XAL15xx family. These rugged inductors offer high inductance, high performance and high Isat versions.
The inductors in the XAL1510 Series are available in two versions, the XAL1510 and XAL1580. The XAL1510 is compact and has measurements of 15.4 X 16.4 mm with a maximum height of 11.0 mm. It offers high inductance values up to 33 µH, and current rating as high as 39.0 Amps. The other version, the XAL1580, offers Isat ratings up to 111 Amps and has measurements of 15.2 X 16.2 mm and a maximum height of 8.2 mm.
Both series are made of RoHS-compliant tin-silver, and are halogen free. They can function in temperatures up to 260 degrees Celsius and offer very low DCR.
“Their soft saturation characteristics make them ideal for VRM/VRD applications,” according to the company.
