New CHO-SEAL® 1270 from Parker Chomerics is an ultra-soft gasket consisting of silver-plated copper particles within a silicone elastomer. It offers shielding effectiveness greater than 70 dB from 100 MHz through 10 GHz and 35 ±5 Shore A hardness and 9 percent compression set. Available forms include compression molded sheets, die-cut parts, and custom molded shapes with a thickness range of 0.010 – 0.125 inch. Combining mechanical performance, electrical conductivity, and long-term stability, CHO-SEAL® 1270 is well suited to demanding applications such as handheld electronics, infotainment systems, and computers.
