Test instrument provider Rohde & Schwarz has released the new R&S FSW67 signal and spectrum analyzer. With a frequency range up to 67 GHz, an integrated preamplifier up to 67 GHz and an analysis bandwidth as high as 320 MHz, the new analyzer helps developers perform complex measurement tasks in the microwave range for aerospace and defense applications and wireless communications.
According to Rohde & Schwarz, the R&S FSW67 is the only instrument on the market to cover the frequency range from 2 Hz to 67 GHz in a single sweep. Thanks to its analysis bandwidth of up to 320 MHz, theR&S FSW67 also measures wideband, hopping and chirp signals, an achievement which often requires complicated test setups consisting of a digital oscilloscope and a downconverter, says the company.
With a phase noise of -111 dBc (Hz) at 10 kHz offset from the carrier at 67 GHz, the analyzer offers a high dynamic range even for measurements close to the carrier, keeping inherent instrument errors especially low during signal analysis. In addition, the integrated multistandard radio analyzer (MSRA) measures spectrum and modulation parameters of signals with different modulations simultaneously and correlates these signals in time, enabling users to efficiently analyze how and why different signals affect each other.
The new R&S FSW67 signal and signal and spectrum analyzer is ideal for the development, testing, verification and production of transmitters and components for radar applications, satellite and military communications systems.
