MACCOM Technology Solutions, a supplier of high-performance analog semiconductor solutions, has released a new broadband variable gain amplifier for multi-market applications.
According to the company, “the MAAM-011100 is designed for customers who need a versatile, broadband, low cost and ultra-small variable gain amplifier solution for Wi-Fi, WiMax, IMS, point-to-point, test and measurement, electronic warfare, and aerospace and defense applications.”
Housed in a plastic 1.5×1.2 TDFN package and fabricated using a GaAs process, which features full passivation for increased performance and reliability, the amplifier “boasts a typical gain control range of 30dB with +13dBm of P1dB performance. The input and output are fully matched to 50Ω with a typical return loss of -12dB [and] the device is typically biased with a single +5V Vd for standard operation over the 4GHz — 20GHz frequency band.”
