EMC certification testing provider DNB Engineering Inc. has announced the appointment of James Press as Director of Electromagnetic Compatibility.
Press will report directly to DNB Engineering Executive Vice President Doug Broaddus and will be involved in all commercial, military and aerospace EMC test and design programs. He will also be responsible for EMC technical issues and will oversee growth and development of the company nation-wide.
Press joins DNB Engineering with more than 30 years of experience in the field of EMC, with accomplishments including the construction, acquisition and expansion of EMC test labs. He has also participated on committees responsible for developing EMC standards including MIL-STD-461D/E, GR-1089, ANSI T1, DO-160, SAE, and EPRI 102323 and has published over 25 articles for national and international journals, as well as a handbook on EMP test and design.
Press holds a BA from Temple University and a MS from Iowa State University and is a iNARTE-certified EMC engineer and a senior member of the IEEE EMC Society. Prior to accepting his present position at DNB Engineering, Press was EMC Director at National Technical Systems (NTS) and, prior to that, Engineering Services Manager at R&B Enterprises (presently Alion).
