Plans for the establishment of an electromagnetic interference and compatibility center at Andhra University College of Engineering (AUCE) in Visakhapatnam, India have received government approval, university officials announced at a press conference last week.
The new center will replace a previously-established, smaller center and will offer electromagnetic interference testing for equipment manufactured by the ISRO, DRDA, Navy and other organizations, Andhra University Vice-Chancellor G.S.N. Raju said. The college will receive a Rs. 5 crore grant under the World Bank-assisted Technology Education Quality Improvement Program (TEQIP) to assist with construction of the center.
